The Question Nobody Is Asking
Something is wrong
with the story we've been
told about progress.
By every objective measure, we are living in the safest, most comfortable, most medically advanced moment in the history of our species. Violent crime has halved in a generation. Infant mortality has fallen from 44% to under 4%. We have more food, more medicine, more shelter, more security than any humans who have ever lived.
And yet — depression is now one of the leading causes of disability worldwide. Anxiety is epidemic. Chronic disease is accelerating. Suicide rates are climbing in the world's wealthiest nations. One in six adults in the developed world takes psychiatric medication.
And the vast majority of people — people who are objectively safe, objectively comfortable, objectively fine — are living with a quiet, persistent sense that something is missing. That they should feel better than this. That life is working, but not quite alive.
"This is not a paradox without an answer. It has a precise scientific explanation. And once you understand it, you will never see your own life — or your clients' lives — the same way again."
That explanation has a name. It is called evolutionary mismatch — the growing gap between the environment our ancient biology was designed for and the world we have built. And it is the root cause, or at least the primary influence, behind virtually every form of modern suffering.
In this free live webinar, Eric Edmeades will show you exactly what that gap looks like, where it is operating most powerfully in your life, and — most importantly — what you can actually do to begin closing it.
